About the Role

State Trustees is seeking a People &
Performance Business Partner for a 4-month contract. This role is essential for providing strategic advice, implementing initiatives, and enhancing people leader effectiveness in an enterprise agreement-driven environment. You will support business operations by aligning them with people and culture strategies, managing employee cases, and building leadership capabilities.

A key focus is to foster a constructive culture, improve employee experiences, and promote a performance mindset. The role involves collaboration to develop our people and embed a performance-driven culture across State Trustees. Additionally, you will provide ad-hoc HR advice and assist the HR Coordinator with administration support as needed.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in human resources/business or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a people and culture professional.
  • Strong ability to provide strategic advice, develop options, make sound judgments, and solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build highly effective working relationships by establishing credibility, respect, and rapport with both internal and external networks.
  • Excellent influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to challenge people, situations, and current thinking creatively and effectively.
  • Clear, concise, and influential written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in other areas of HR to manage workload peaks and cover for colleagues as needed.
