About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of Partner Acquisition, the Partner Solutions Architect role forms a key part of the Partner Acquisition Team for AU/NZ and plays a pivotal role in guiding software development partners onto the Global Payments payment platforms, developing and leading best practice solutions that aligns strongly to the GP Oceania value proposition.

You will also:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical understanding of our API suite and relevant partner APIs;
  • Design and recommend solutions for partners and large merchants, including proof of concepts, demonstrations, installations, troubleshooting, and training;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve API integration issues with partners and clients;
  • Lead client meetings to develop and implement solutions, both virtually and on-site;
  • Respond to technical queries from partners with a customer-centric approach;
  • Contribute and assist with maintaining internal documentation, knowledge base articles and training materials to support and uplift the knowledge of all internal stakeholders;
  • Maintain and contribute to external API documentation for developers and integrators;
  • Participate andlead the training of stakeholders in the correct use and integration of our API's;
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions.

About you

You are passionate about understanding customers and have a strong commercial acumen and effectively align solutions that deliver mutual benefit and a sustainable technical outcome.

In addition to having a love for technology and curious mindset, you will also bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with API technologies in a prior Pre-Sales or Solutions Architect role;
  • Ability to drive detailed conversations regarding technical requirements with a sales led focus in large groups and teams;
  • Ability to acquire a broad understanding of integration API's;
  • Previous exposure to software development;
  • Experience in working with and consuming REST API's and an understanding of key API concepts;
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries to extract and analyse data;
  • Be practical and analytical with the aptitude and capability to learn quickly and with a positive attitude.

Nice to haves:

  • Prior software development experience preferred but not mandatory;
  • Exposure to high volume transactional environments would be advantageous;
  • Exposure to enterprise software solutions;
  • Knowledge or experience with PCI DSS.
