At Specsavers Launceston we have a unique opportunity for a qualified Optometrist, to join our team and undertake a fully funded MSc Advanced Clinical Practice in Ophthalmology with University of Plymouth. This role provides an opportunity to develop your clinical practice to an advanced level, gain industry recognised qualifications along the way and take part in the numerous enhanced and shared care schemes we have commissioned in our practice.

Our store

Equipped with 6 test rooms, each is fully equipped with the latest clinical technology;
we have been using OCT since 2008. We offer a range of enhanced clinical services including post cataract, MECS, IOP refinement, OHT &
stable glaucoma monitoring, glaucoma follow-up and OCT image diagnostics. We always aim to be the very best we can be - both clinically and in terms of customer service. Our experienced, diverse, and friendly team are always on hand to offer support and take care of patient's needs, meaning that as our new Optometrist, you can focus on offering a first-class sight test to our loyal customers. Rachel, one of our store partners, has close working ties with Plymouth University, supporting the supervision of 3rd Year Optometry Students. You are guaranteed to receive the very best training and development under her guidance.

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, we are searching for someone who shares our store's ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop, and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn't afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team.
