About the Role

You will be responsible for providing consistently excellent customer service and expertise for all Optical services and products offered through Heath Hub Optical.
Reporting directly to the Optical Manager the Optometrist is responsible for the clinical assessment, diagnosis and prescription of topical agents and/or lenses for patient eye disorders.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Examine eyes using observation, pharmaceutical agents, and instruments to determine visual perception, acuity, coordination, and focus
  • Based on thorough ocular examination and advanced clinical reasoning, diagnose diseases and anomalies
  • Document patient clinical history &
    Clearly record diagnosis and treatment plan
  • Prescribe, fit, teach &
    Promote eye health
  • Resolve complex clinical concerns and complaints
  • Work closely with the Optical Business Manager to ensure alignment in clinical approaches and outcomes

About you
You are a passionate Optometrist interested in working with an aged demographic and complex eye conditions. Self-directed to deliver high quality clinical care and enhance optical business outcomes. You thoroughly enjoy working in a fast-paced, team that continually strives to perform and achieve the best solutions for the overall objectives of the organisation, as well as our customers.
Current and unencumbered registration with Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with therapeutic endorsement to prescribe for the purposes of the practice of optometry, and current Professional Indemnity Insurance is essential.

You will have a recognised tertiary qualification in Optometry and high- level computer proficiency with Optomate, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint &
Outlook skills
