Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., which employs 3,600 people and operates three tire manufacturing facilities in Nova Scotia, is seeking an Operational Information Manager to join its team in Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
Reporting to the Progress Leader, the Operational Information Manager will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the best performance of our information systems within the limits, requirements, specifications, costs and timelines identified. These systems include both Michelin internal systems and industry standard information systems.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure the Michelin production information systems are accepted by the end users and used appropriately, and with relevant data;
Determine the business system needs and identify the appropriate process and solution improvements to foster business performance;
Contribute to implement the appropriate process and associated best practices;
Contribute to implement new information system solutions and/or releases;
Operational procedures related to information systems are available and updated. All users are trained, and data is consistent across all applications;
The Key-user network is operational in relation with the User Support Organization attached to the Information Systems entity.
Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field;
Demonstrated programming experience;
Database management and networking experience is preferred.
Comfort working in an industrial setting. Some mechanical/maintenance background is an asset, but not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to set and achieve goals independently.
