Nursing Director - Surgical Services

Surgical Services at QEII Jubilee Hospital are looking for a Nursing Director to join their team to provide high level contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the QEII Surgical service/s/division within an expansive and/or complex environment.

About the Role

The Nursing Director - Surgical Services provides high level contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the QEII Surgical service/s/division within an expansive and/or complex environment. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, the role provides the coordination and responsibility for service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.

• Responsible for the achievement of operational and strategic performance targets, evaluations and outcomes in line with operational plans, service targets and national and state benchmarks.
• Accountable for coordination of services and standards and application of corporate and clinical governance for Surgical services.
• Demonstrate high level collaboration both inter-divisional and across Metro South Health with the development and evaluation of effectiveness of systems to support continuous improvement in nursing and healthcare team practice.
• Collaborate and engage with nursing executive, internal and external stakeholders, committees and advisory groups to support operational and strategic functions of Metro South Health.
