We have an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic, capable and enthusiastic Registered Nurse or dual Registered Midwife to join us as the Nurse Unit Manager of Level One at St Vincent's Private Hospital Werribee.

This position is key in building and maintaining a high performing nursing team to ensure excellence in clinical practice, patient care and patient experience.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

  • Managing of the inpatient ward including surgical, medical, and rehabilitation services.
  • Leading, managing and working alongside the team of nursing staff to deliver exceptional person-centred care with a willingness and the ability to provide expert clinical advice.
  • Achieving optimal patient outcomes and experiences within the allocated resources.
  • Foster good communication and a team approach that is inclusive of all areas of the inpatient ward.
  • Allocation of staff on a daily basis including the development and fostering of a flexible work environment in order to meet the demands of the service.
  • Ensuring that the philosophy and values of St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne are inherent in the delivery of health care.

Specialty services at Werribee include orthopaedic, obstetrics, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, gynaecology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions. Facilities include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology/infusion unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory, delivery suites and a special care nursery
