Neuropsychologist - Advanced (Paediatrics)

To provide professional leadership, strategic direction, daily management and specialised clinical expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team approach with the Child Development Services, Community Child Health.

An opportunity has become available for a Neuropsychologist - Advanced (Paediatrics) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our -strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide independent advanced-level specialised clinical neuropsychology / psychology services
  • Provide advanced clinical, technical services and authoritative advice in relation to both clinical neuropsychology, and the wider child development context
  • Continually translate new and emerging evidence into practice for the service
  • Continually shape the service to promote a work culture where clients views about treatment options are highly valued, respected and integrated into care provisions

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution
  • AHPRA Registration with General registration as a Psychologist and endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist
  • Post-graduate tertiary degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Drivers Licence
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
  • Permanent part time (60.8 hrs per fortnight)
  • Base salary ranging from $70.99 - $74.07 per hour

The Child Development Service (CDS) sits within Community Child Health, Children's Health within the directorate of Women's, Newborn and Children. The CDS runs a suite of clinical service pathways aimed at identifying and providing support for children with developmental and behavioural concerns.
