Job Description:

As a Network Security Consultant based in Melbourne, you will provide guidance and technical expertise to clients deploying our security integrations. Acting as a technical partner, you will provide strategic guidance around complex systems to secure digital environments. Interacting directly with clients, you will partner closely with their personnel to guide and suggest integrations to better serve their success. Your comprehensive understanding of our product integrations will contribute to developing new principles and concepts, offering detailed analysis on current functionalities, potential improvements, and future enhancements.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build custom security policies and application signatures tailored to unique client environments.
• Consult and guide customers on security best practices methodologies, acting as a trusted advisor for clients on behalf of Palo Alto Networks.
• Analyze logs and events from solutions, providing threat analysis reports and offering input and direction as needed.
• Work proactively with our Technical Assistance Center to troubleshoot and diagnose cases as escalations arise.
• Mitigate web-based threats promptly.
• Maintain implemented solutions and provide mentorship on code upgrades, platform changes, and new technology developments.
• Collaborate with the sales account team to help formulate a technical strategy addressing customer business needs.
• Engage with the account team to clearly understand customer business and technical requirements through active client engagement.

Qualifications:

• Networking Intermediate Certification (JNCIP or CCNP).
• Network Security/Firewall Expert Certification (PCNSE preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in deploying/implementing solutions
• Excellent customer management skills.
• Must have implementation and troubleshooting skills with Palo Alto and other network security/firewall products.
• Must have operation and maintenance experience with PA Series Firewalls and other Strata products.
• Ex-Palo Alto Support Team or TAC experience preferred.
• Extensive experience with network security firewall solutions and technologies (Palo Alto Networks, Juniper Networks, Fortinet, and/or Cisco).
• Proven experience leading security solutions in large environments.
• Deep understanding of various security threats, internet protocols, and applications.
• Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, ideally Palo Alto products.
• Strong TCP/IP networking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Extensive background in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with senior leaders and technical peers.
• Project leadership experience with the ability to drive organizations and resources to complete required tasks to achieve end goals.
