The Opportunity

Join Komatsu as a Sustainability Reporting &
Compliance Lead, a pivotal role overseeing sustainability initiatives across our Oceania operations. Collaborate with various departments, manage our sustainability systems, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities include completing the annual NGER and NPI reports, tracking progress on regional and company-wide sustainability KPIs, and acting as the primary contact for sustainability projects.

The position will also support the implementation of the International Enironmental Standard ISO 14001 and will be responsible for supporting the regions in reviewing environmental procedures and will be the key point of contact across the region for all major new and ongoing sustainability projects.

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, natural resources, chemistry or relevant subject area
  • Experienced in the preparation of NGER and sustainability reporting such as IPCC.
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, natural resources, chemistry or relevant subject area is mandatory
  • Experienced in developing KPI's adhering to sustainability governance frameworks (GHG Protocol, GRI, IPCC etc.)
  • Knowledge of waste, water, energy and/or emissions reduction programs are a must
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting frameworks is desirable
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • French language skills highly desirable
