Carejobz Recruitment invites applications from experienced, registered Midwives for our client, a Public Hospital.
They are expanding and have increased their capacity with additional birth suites, maternity inpatient beds, a 24/7 Maternity Assessment Unit, and a Special Care Nursery for up to 12 babies. They are also pioneering innovative midwifery models of care, including the imminent launch of a Midwifery Group Practice (MGP). We offer career progression opportunities and a 12 or 18-month Graduate Program to help you grow in your profession.
About the Role
As a Registered Midwife your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering quality, efficient, and effective family-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team
Evaluating maternity care in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team to achieve quality care outcomes
Responding effectively to emergencies and the changing status of the client
Contributing to quality healthcare through lifelong learning, professional development, research data generation, clinical supervision, mentoring, coaching, and development of policy and clinical practice guidelines
Participating in relevant patient safety and quality education and delivering services by the National Patient Safety and Quality Standards
Completing documentation on midwifery care on EMR, progress reports, and referral practices by requirements and systematically assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care based on patient records
Working within your scope of practice and seeking support where required
Respecting the rights of individual families, their beliefs, cultural values, and dignity and diversity

Qualifications &
Registrations
Essential:
Qualifications in Midwifery
Ability to Obtain Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Victorian Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
Desirable:
Evidence of continuing education and professional development
Successful completion of Level 3 RANZCOG - Foetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP)

Knowledge
Essential:
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for consumers
Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
