Job Summary

Provide Mechanical Maintenance support solutions and leadership to a world class ammonia manufacturing plant. Enjoy a rewarding career with an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane or Townsville. This role has 4 direct and 20 indirect reports tasked with ensuring peak plant performance and strategic maintenance across the mechanical equipment, both static and rotating which will drive the plant reliability into the future.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • To deliver target equipment availability and maintenance
  • Maintain cost effective equipment maintenance strategies
  • Deliver peak process plant performance (upwards of 91%)
  • Allocate and execute maintenance work
  • Manage reactive and planned maintenance
  • Support Major Turnaround Projects of up to $90M
  • Coordinate collaboration between departments and steak holders
  • Implement continuous improvement actions and optimisation of assets
  • Be able to handle a high degree of stress and competing priorities

Skills Required

  • Significant experience in mechanical maintenance management.
  • Experience with ammonia, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, and granulation production essential.
  • Previous major turnaround experience in a similar sized facility
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and teams
  • History if improving plant maintenance and reliability
  • High level of technical knowledge across rotating and static equipment
  • Solid tenure track record
  • Managing maintenance budgets
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Thorough knowledge of Queensland and National codes and standards
  • SAP, CMMS and MS Office experience
