As thesteward of the early childhood development system, the Office willact on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with thesector, to organise and connect the system to reduce developmentalvulnerability.

Thisincludes strategy for the provision of quality preschool for allthree and four-year-olds, supporting for families in the first 1000days of a child's life and implementing a workforcestrategy.
About theRole:

We arelooking for a Principal Policy Officer or Manager to support thedesign and implementation of 3-year-old preschool and supportingearly childhood reforms. This role plays an important part incontributing to leadership and expertise across policy formulationand planning. A key function of this role is the development of aninfrastructure strategy and the leadership of a team overseeinginfrastructure planning and grants processes. The role will morebroadly assist with strategic planning and forecasting to assistthe sector and government to plan for the rollout of three-year-oldpreschool.

TheManager, Policy and Provision will work collaboratively to supportwell-informed strategic decision-making that ensures accessible andefficient delivery of high-quality preschool education servicesacross South Australia. This includes involvement in thedevelopment of early childhood strategies and policies, with afocus on the formulation of provisioning and infrastructurestrategies.
Qualifications:

Essential:
A tertiary qualification in public policy, planning, engineering,economics, education or other relevant fields.Special Conditions:

Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC(Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care)Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online(Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated everythree years.

Remuneration:

MAS3$125,970 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
