In this role you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and subject matter expert advice and support to establish a low volume, high complexity guided weapons manufacturing capability. The role also involves customer engagement, and provision of advice and guidance on related supply chain, test and evaluation, and certification of components, sub-systems and assemblies.

Right now, the company is experiencing exciting growth in advanced manufacturing and we are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in the establishment of advanced manufacturing and assembly to join our team.

The Job:

  • Lead a technical team in:
    • Developing a detailed proposal and Establishing the manufacturing capability via a Systems Engineering process/mindset
    • Managing continuous operations:
      Operationally running and improving the production capability indefinitely
  • Work with the global internal stakeholder to:
    • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships
    • Establish and maintain the knowledge and data transfer arrangements to establish the capability
  • Lead the provision of engineering support for the establishment of a local supply chain to support production efforts
  • Work in support of the Senior Program Manager to manage functional relationships to ensure successful Phase-in of production capability
  • Lead major reviews throughout the product lifecycle as well as participating in peer reviews

The Person:

  • Degree in Engineering Experience in establishing manufacturing capabilities
  • Experience in electro-optical systems and/or Guided Weapons
  • Experience in establishing and delivering complex programs, particularly involving manufacturing / production operations
  • Strong technical strategy development and program planning skills
  • Experience in tender responses and technical planning within a capture environment
  • Knowledge of project management coupled with experience in leading technical teams in Phase-in/Establishment/Transition program phases
  • Strong relationship management skills highlighted by experience in teaming / subcontractor / prime relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier and senior leadership levels.
