About the role
The Manager, Technology &
Data Risk (MT&
DR) position sets the direction and strategy for the risk management and compliance to ensure that technology and data risks are identified, understood, and managed effectively.
This role will be a part of the Technology &
Data Risk Management team to drive an optimised and sustainable balance between risk, reward, and support of Operations in a way that ensures integrity, confidentiality and availability and performance of technology assets across Cbus.
We are looking for someone who comes with a strong background in technology risk and data risk management in financial services (superannuation &
investment management) with the capability and experience to develop resources to focus and achieve outcomes to deadlines and quality to manage competing stakeholder priorities.

Key areas of focus and output for the role include

  • Technology Risk Governance, Strategy and Policy
  • Assist in the implementation of a robust technology risk governance framework for Line 1 business (Investments, Operations &
    Member Services), aligned with the enterprise risk framework.

  • Technology Controls Assurance - Monitoring &
    Review

    Communications

Key Selection Criteria
Relevant experience, understanding and credentials including:

  • Tertiary qualifications in technology, information security or related field.
  • Over 7 years proven technology and/or data risk compliance experience in a senior specialist role in financial services (superannuation or investment management experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of interdependencies between superannuation business processes, systems, risks and controls.
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical and organizational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks, activities and projects, simultaneously.
  • Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills to deal effectively with key (internal and external) stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legislative &
    regulatory requirementsapplicable to regulated financial service providers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a pro-active approach, high attention to detail, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Experience in collaborative, fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • A high level of comfort working in a membership-based organization.
  • Advanced working knowledge of superannuation systems and databases.
  • Willingness to champion and demonstrate the Cbus values and associated behaviours.
  • Ability to work within a commercially sensitive environment and maintain confidentiality.
