Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-functioning legal team that plays an intrinsic part in the company strategy and success. You will work as a representative of the legal team but on end-to-end transactions and thus enjoy a diverse workload and engage regularly with non-legal colleagues.

  • Provide legal advice to various business areas including property and funds management.
  • Prepare legal documentation for leasings and arrange registration of lease agreements.
  • Assist with property acquisitions, divestments, sales and on-going management of portfolio properties.
  • Support funds management and prepare relevant documentation, as required for trusts.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with Legal and Non-Legal stakeholders to provide legal insight, and identify when external counsel is required.
  • Support sustainability objectives and contribute to ESG and Net-Zero initiatives.
  • Ad-hoc support to the entire company on legislative changes in broader corporate topics (for example, Employment Law, Data &
    Privacy, cyber securityetc).


The Successful Applicant

This opportunity is open for a Private Practice trained lawyer from leading city-based law firms looking to move in-house, or those with in-house experience looking to accelerate their career.

  • Admitted as a Lawyer in Australia, with 3-7 years PAE.
  • Experience in commercial property, funds management OR general corporate law topics will be considered. You do not need to have done everything
  • Property, leasing negotiations or strong knowledge of funds, trusts and capital transactions is highly advantageous.
  • Collaborative working style with excellent communication skills are essential qualities.
  • Willingness to work in the CBD for 4 days/week.

What's on Offer

Salary:
$130,000 - $170,000 dependent on experience + 15% STI.
Annual Leave:
20 days + 1 day for each year of service up to 25 days.
