Lead People Partner, Australia

As a key member of the Sub-Region and Solution Line leadership teams, the Lead People Partner will work closely with the Sub-Region/Solution Line Centre of Excellence (COE) leaders to deliver the global people strategy, in line with Aon United values and objectives.

Reporting directly to the Regional Chief People Officer, this is a strategic and influential role in leading the development and execution of the talent strategy, focusing on building talent capabilities, and strengthening the Aon United culture to drive long term sustainable growth.

What the day will look like

As the Lead People Partner, you will plan, develop, monitor, and measure the success of the overall people strategy, in line with the strategic direction of the Sub-Region/Solution Line and the People Organisation. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Establish strong influential relationships in a complex environment with both Business leaders and People Organisation colleagues
  • Lead the annual People efforts relating to Talent and Performance Management, Compensation, Succession Planning and Leadership Development
  • Advise and consult on global and regional initiatives in partnerships with the Regional Chief People Officer, and Solution Line Chief People Officer
  • Partner with the Business and Talent Acquisition with an aim of leading an effective resourcing strategy to support the growth of the Business, ensuring Inclusion and Diversity (I&
    D) objectives are considered and met
  • Drive the talent agenda including inclusion and wellbeing, capabilities and culture
  • Provide thought leadership related to strategic delivery for major talent-related initiatives
  • Influence and develop People Partners and business leaders by providing expertise, sound judgment, and data-driven recommendations that improve the overall employee experience and business performance

  • Extensive experience in a Lead People Partner role in a global matrix organisation
  • Expert leader in the HR field who understands the key role of People as a business partner and is passionate about talent management and the opportunity to champion change
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation, and to consult, influence and partner with senior leaders in developing/executing people strategies to drive business performance
  • Proven track record in implementing, embedding, and driving people organisation programs, such as performance management, succession planning, inclusion and wellbeing and workforce planning
  • An empowering style that encourages open debate and collaborative decision making and shares ownership of results
  • Effective communicator with a high level of self-confidence and credibility
  • Creative and adept at problem solving, with an appreciation of diverse cultures and regions
