Lead Data Scientist - Teams And Education

As the Lead Data Scientist in the Teams and Education (T&
E) group, you will work closely with stakeholders to empower them drive the product roadmap and uncover opportunities and measuring change via experimentation. You will be supported by other Data Scientists across the supergroup to achieve your best and learn new things everyday!

Your primary goal will be to lead the Collaboration data science team in uncovering opportunities for the business to grow and to providing concrete recommendations as to how to realise those opportunities, that is, to influence the product roadmap using data. You will do this by directly, and indirectly through your team:

• Finding strategic Insights - combining deep product knowledge with data to produce strategic insights about how to grow the business and improve the a feature.
• Experimenting - designing experiments to test the hypotheses formulated from user research and your own strategic insights, analysing the results, and using them to influence next steps.
• Influencing with Metrics - designing and building goal metrics, forecasting and setting targets, designing analytic events that track feature usage, and building them into dashboards that track performance and product usage patterns. Then using them to diagnose issues at a high-level and influence what the business does.
• Supporting with General Data- supporting the business by providing the data on feature usage that gives them the context they need to make good decisions, and working out ways of making this process more efficient (e.G. via self-serve).
• Help us extend data literacy and curiosity throughout the whole company.

You're probably a match if:

• You have proven experience leading data specialists, and defining team strategy and data roadmaps.
• You've got experience working with SaaS data sets and experimental frameworks.
• You have proficiency with SQL;
  experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery is a plus!
• You know how to wrangle and analyse data using Python or R.
• You have experience with optimising product funnels, running experiments, and building dashboards that effectively communicate results and outcomes.

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.
