Lead Data Engineer - Cloud"
to join our Data tribe at ING. Reporting to the Program Director, this role will be working with large volumes of data, both structured and unstructured, and implementing data solutions on the Azure platform. You'll be responsible for design and build of complex data pipelines and extending platform capabilities to enable real time data and advanced analytics services using MS Azure native data technologies.

The Lead Engineer is a leader in data design, analysis, and development, providing insights and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will provide technical oversight across Data Tribe with focus on enabling platform capabilities while also supporting data migration from legacy data platforms to the new Azure Cloud platform.

What you'll do

  • Business and systems analysis, development, and testing, combined with business risk assessments and data quality monitoring.
  • Manage end to end software development and meet agreed Service Levels for the availability of the accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Role model in the development of your own capability across industry trends, technologies, methodologies, and behaviours.
  • Regularly coach and mentor other engineers and chapter members to increase their capability and in turn the capability of the squads and organisation.

What we're looking for

  • Experience with open source and applications orientated languages within a data focused environment -with preference to Python, Java, Scala, R and Spark.
  • Demonstrated experience in Data warehousing with end-to-end BI project delivery and date integration expertise.
  • Experience with delivering end to end data integration solutions in a cloud environment with preference to Azure.
  • Strong knowledge in Informatica Power Center and related products.
  • Experience in building test automation frameworks using open source\ Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong Knowledge in SQL, MS SQL server, Data Lake storage, Delta Lake, Synapse dataflows and pipeline for ETL's Azure functions.
  • Ability to network and acute awareness of changes within the global industry and profession.
