About the role
The position is responsible for working with a team on the implementation of sustainable business outcomes for six Councils throughout the Wimmera-Mallee Region via the introduction of shared IT platforms and practices in the finance, rates, and payroll areas.
This project, known as RCCC - Regional Councils Corporate Collaboration, is funded via a government grant and is intended to deliver shared finance, rates and payroll systems across Buloke, Hindmarsh, Horsham, Loddon, West Wimmera, and Yariambiack councils.
Our Transformation Management Office is seeking an experienced business analyst, to improve the way these organisations operate. As part of our Project Team, you will be based at the council offices in Horsham (but at the moment, as a consequence of Covid-19 restrictions, working remotely/from home).
About the role
In this role, you will assist in driving improvements to internal systems and processes which will translate to better services being delivered to the community. You will work to document business requirements for technology projects and assist with business case development and procurement.
Conduct user research to finalise customer requirements using a variety of methods (including workshops and interviews)
Scope and document customer requirements for new systems or system improvements
Translate customer requirements into documented technical requirements to be used by software developers or for procurement of solutions
Assist in identifying technology solutions that meet organisational requirements
Prepare test cases and participate in functional, user experience and user acceptance testing
Support the project team to develop and maintain policies/standards/procedures to ensure quality is maintained in what we deliver
With your specialist business process, analytical and systems thinking skills, you will contribute to the development of business solutions to needs and problems identified. You will have demonstrated experience in collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of an organisation and an ability to map and document business processes.
Your experience with digital transformations and software integration techniques and collaborative working style will see you succeed in this role.
