YOUR ROLE

As an Investment Principal within the Firemark Ventures team, you'll be a key team player, actively involved in identifying and researching emerging technologies and their competitive landscape.

Your strategic guidance will contribute to building the investment pipeline of start-up businesses, engaging with investment opportunities both locally and globally, and progressing through the venture's investment process.

In this influential role, you will conduct pitch sessions, engage business stakeholders, complete evaluations, and support the development of the final recommendations on startups' commercial and strategic viability and attractiveness for investment.

You will be a demonstrated leader with a results driven attitude, possessing the ability to influence and overcome obstacles.

This is a permanent role based in Sydney.

ABOUT YOU

• Extensive experience in early-stage investment, startups and/or technology innovation, preferably within an investment group, high-growth technology business and/or advisory firm in management consulting or investment banking.
• Proven connections within the Australian and/or international start-up and venture capital ecosystems.
• Strong program management and delivery skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams while engaging and building relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, synthesising information into insights and develop investment theses.
