About the Company
Our client is one of the largest owners of renewable assets in the APAC, with a multi-billion dollar portfolio of developing and operational projects in wind, solar and battery storage. They have a strong financial backing, with more projects due to become operational soon.
About the Role
As an Investment Manager, you will assess the financial viability of renewable energy projects to assist with investment decisions. You will then be involved in further commercial negotiations as projects progress, assisting the technical team and Investment Directors through the development process. You will work across a diversified portfolio that includes projects in various stages of development, from greenfield to later stage, taking them to financial close.
Renewable energy or infrastructure experience is ideal, however other suitable backgrounds will be considered.
Responsibilities

  • Identifying and evaluating new renewable energy project opportunities across Australia
  • Conducting financial analysis, risk assessments, and market research to evaluate potential investment opportunities
  • Run and interpret financial models to assess project feasibility, projected returns, and risks
  • Prepare and manage budgets for Capex and Opex, project schedules, and technical inputs into financial models, supporting overall project business case development
  • Lead and assist with negotiation of high value contracts, overseeing EPC, PPA, procurement and other commercial agreements

Skills &
Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, investment principles, and risk management
  • Experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, acquisitions and investment analysis
  • Exposure to project development process from concept to final investment decision
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector or related fields such as major infrastructure, transmission, O&
    G
  • Excellent communication skills to present data and negotiate commercial terms
