About the role
Lead and contribute to international activities related to foreign policy, trade and aid related initiatives. This role works with National and International stakeholders to drive Standards Australia's (SA) reach, relevance, reputation and revenue through the execution of international engagement initiatives that align with national and international priorities.
What you'll do

  • Manage and support the delivery of a portfolio of capacity building and technical assistance projects
  • Manage the successful end-to-end delivery international projects
  • Support negotiations to secure relevant externally funded international engagement projects for the purposes of delivering key international policy priorities
  • Work as part of the broader team in building and maintaining strong relations with international stakeholders, coordinating effective and appropriate engagement across relevant departments at Standards Australia
  • Build relationships with decision makers, senior managers and other key influencers from government and industry both in Australia and globally
  • Work collaboratively with the broader team to develop and implement continuous international engagement business process improvements

About you

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in politics, international relations, communication or other relevant field
  • Ideally several years of proven experience in a professional, government, commercial or similar international policy role
  • Experience in contract negotiation, management and funding partner management
  • Extensive understanding of Australia's trade policy and economic diplomacy priorities
