With a diverse portfolio of projects across solar, wind, and storage, our client is at the forefront of innovation in the energy sector. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Counsel to join their legal team, focusing on utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on projects related to renewable energy and energy transition initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, including project development agreements, power purchase agreements, and construction contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and manage risks associated with projects.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments in the energy sector, advising on regulatory changes and implications for our client's operations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our client's legal strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified solicitor with 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Strong background in project development, energy law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in dealing with a variety of stakeholders, including governmental bodies, contractors, and investors.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and mitigate legal risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to legal challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
