Your new role as HR Business Partner is responsible for partnering with leaders and employees to provide day to day operational support, including supporting ER case management, performance management and change management activities.

This role will work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner to ensure people strategies are executed within their respective groups. This includes delivering fit for purpose solutions and trusted advice, to implement strategic HR initiatives.

Some local and national travel may be required.

Skills and experience we think you'll need to bring to be successful in your new role of HR Business Partner at Cleanaway include:

  • Tertiary qualification in HR and/or Business or other related discipline required at minimum
  • 5+ years' working experience in a generalist advisory HR role required at minimum, with preferred experience, but not essential, within an operational business and heavily unionised workforce (but not essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in and working knowledge of broad HR functions, including Employee and Industrial Relations, Award Interpretation, change management and talent management
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, build and maintain trusted and effective working relationships and partnerships with all levels of management within the business, colleagues, and other internal and external stakeholders including the ability to influence and negotiate to produce efficient and effective outcomes
  • Ability to explore business needs in a data-driven way, analytical by nature
  • A collaborative and proactive approach with a focus on simplicity, ease of use and employee experience
  • Cleanaway is a fast paced and high-performance environment, candidates need to be able demonstrate resilience and the ability to think quickly to solve unpredictable problems/situations
  • Your ability to influence and shape the strategic people agenda at all business levels will be welcomed
