About the role
The Head of Tennis Operations &
Pathways
is responsible for providing strategic leadership to Tennis NSW in all aspects of tournaments, competitions, development pathways and key participation and strategic projects as well as taking the lead on important stakeholder relationships.

Working closely with the Tennis NSW CEO, and as part of the Executive team, in this role you will:

  • Develop and set the strategic direction for the competitive play landscape in NSW.
  • Lead and manage player development by providing a performance pathway and player support program.
  • Effectively manage key tennis stakeholder relationships (Tennis Country, Metro Sydney, Officials etc) to positively influence outcomes with each of these groups.
  • Oversee the development of plans and strategies relating to player development and participation projects that will assist in delivering on our Vision 2025 objectives.
  • Lead and develop a high functioning and engaged team.

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Demonstrated strong understanding of the Tennis landscape with particular reference to competitive play and development pathways.
  • Experience in and/or a deep understanding of the delivery and management of tennis competitions, tournaments, leagues and participation programs.
  • Sound understanding of the state and national sports systems as they relate to the development of Tennis.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and the capacity to motivate, influence and inspire.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills both in one-on-one and public speaking situations.
  • Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and partnerships that support business growth and performance.
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check .
