  • Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne. Hume Anglican Grammar has an open enrolment policy so educates children from many faiths and with a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.
  • Since 2011, the School has occupied the Mt Ridley P-12 campus and has1,400 students. In 2019, it opened a second campus in Donnybrook. Commencing with junior primary, and will ultimately have an enrolment of 1,300 from Prep to Year 12.
  • In 2023, the School opened its third campus in Kalkallo, as a Primary (P-6) school and as feeder to the Mt Ridley and Donnybrook Secondary schools, it will follow a similar growth pattern to Donnybrook with eventually some 600 students.
  • This year, the school has 2,678 students and employs some 270 staff - 185 teaching and 85 non-teaching. Currently, the student enrolment at each campus is at Mt Ridley 1,418, Donnybrook 868 and Kalkallo 392.
  • The school is on a growth trajectory and in 2025 is projected to increase to 2,912 students (Mt Ridley 1,428, Donnybrook 1,008 &
    Kalkallo 476) and ultimately have some 3,612 students (Mt Ridley 1,428, Donnybrook 1,596 and Kalkallo 588) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff on its three campuses with plans for further expansion.

About the role:

Do you have a background in student wellbeing and a desire to make a difference in a school? Hume Anglican Grammar is seeking a Head of Student Wellbeing Prep to Year 2 to join the wellbeing team at our Donnybrook campus (Primary) located near Craigieburn.

This position is full time (1.0 FTE) ongoing as a Teacher and combines the leadership Head of Student Wellbeing P-2 on a fixed term basis. This leadership role will commence in term 3, 2024 (Monday, 15 July 2024) and will conclude on Friday, 12 December 2025.

The position of Head of Student Wellbeing is a middle leadership role that is highly esteemed and respected by colleagues, parents, and community members. It is seen as an exemplary leadership and teaching role within the primary school. The Head of Student Wellbeing has consistently demonstrated innovative student wellbeing practices and has the ability to initiate and lead activities that aim to improve educational opportunities for all students. They work closely with the Assistant Principal - Primary and the Director of Student Wellbeing, sustaining a culture of wellbeing throughout the school community, and establishing connections between student wellbeing and enhanced learning outcomes.
