With many large complex projects set to commence in the near future, we are looking for an experienced Head of Strategy and Architecture to unite and empower a continually growing team.

The Role

This role represents an incredible 12-month opportunity to work with an organisation that is making a significant difference behind the scenes and working on many of the most important and exciting projects set for 2024 and beyond. As the Head of Strategy &
Architecture your responsibilities will be broad but not limited to:

  • Engagement with key stakeholders across multiple different business units.
  • Leading and growing a diverse group of technical architects.
  • Designing and working with stakeholders in the business to drive key projects.
  • Developing high level and low-level documentation that will then be executed.
  • Educating and innovating in the delivery of Technology services to develop the wider business.
  • Developing roadmaps and capability statements.
  • Ensuring project management and delivery is completed on-time and at an exceptional standard.
  • Managing multiple strategies at one time.
  • Enabling and introducing emerging technologies into the business.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will be someone who will:

  • Be an experienced Head of Strategy &
    Architecture who has run and led teams of Enterprise and Solutions architects with the development and coordination of roadmaps and then delivering on the infrastructure.
  • Have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement and management skills that will see you talk across all lines of business to shape and share visions across a large audience.
  • Be able to analyse and problem solve a variety of novel tasks that have never been done before and being able to deliver the outcome within tight timeframes.
  • Someone who considers themselves as technology agnostic.
  • Have the ability to understand and learn about new ways to deliver technology services.
  • Expert knowledge across the full SDLC.
  • Experience architecting in a multi technology-driven environment.
  • Strong experience with business process design and re-engineering.

Having an understanding and experience in multiple of these environments would be advantageous:

  • Be experienced with Wintel, Linux and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
  • Storage systems VMWare, Net Apps, OnPrem Infrastructure and Private Cloud.
  • Networks:
    Cisco and PaloAlto.
  • Software:
    VB.Net, SQL, Java, C-Sharp.
