Head Of Security Operations

About the role
This is a newly created in an internal team which is still being built out by the CISO. There is a managed service provider offering XDR and SOC services, you will be responsible for keeping the vendor on track and after some time build out an internal team. The company are pushing into Azure very heavily so will need you to have strong knowledge and experience on Azure security services.
Outside of that, the whole security program is being built out with a multi-year program in the early stages of being rolled out. Some other initiatives to come include Application Security Program, Cloud Security Engineering and uplift to their internal ISMS standards.

Duties

• Establish an internal Security Operations function
• Vendor management
• Azure based security platform implementation/development
• Team leadership (once hired)
• Broad uplift of capability within SecOps

Skills and experience

• To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience as a Head of Security Operations or similar
• Strong technical skills and knowledge across Azure's security products
• Broad technical knowledge of security technologies and platforms - SIEM, EDR, SOAR, IPS/IDS etc
• Establish Playbooks and help build out the internal Incident Responce capability
• Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal
• Industry certifications are highly regarded
