Indooroopilly State High School is seeking a dedicated school leader to join our forward-thinking community as Head of School on a full-time temporary basis, until 13 December 2024, unless otherwise determined.
As an important member of our Senior ExecutiveTeam, you will work closely with a number of year levels of students and be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the school. You will work collaboratively with the leadership team to pursue and achieve the school's vision and nurture positive relationships in order to deliverexcellent outcomes for students, staff and the wider Indooroopilly State High School community.

About the Role

Indooroopilly State High School welcomes applications for this exciting leadership opportunity. The successful applicant will demonstrate initiative and play a leading role in supporting students' engagement with school so that every young person has the opportunity to achieve their personal best.
As the Associate Principal you will:

  • improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools;
  • develop the quality of teaching and learning;
  • nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.

The Associate Principal reports to the school Executive Principal.

As the Associate Principal you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Assist the Executive Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
