We are searching for a professional Head of Product - Inbound for one of our prestigious travel industry clients.
This position is to join Abercrombie &
Kent's Australian head office team based in Melbourne - an international company widely regarded as the leading luxury travel company in the world.
The Head of Product - Inbound reports to the General Manager, with four Direct reports:
Product Supervisor, Product Executive x 2, and a Compliance Officer.
The role must be based in Melbourne and is a permanent, full-time position.
This key role will actively contribute to the achievement of organisational and departmental targets through the development, negotiation, and management of contracted products across Australia and New Zealand for the inbound tourism market.
The successful applicant will manage product development and contracting across Australia and New Zealand of the most appropriate and exceptional luxury accommodation and tourism services for A&
K's discerning client base from the US, UK and Rest of World.
You will have extensive experience in:
- Establishing relationships and experience working for a local Inbound Tour Operator in a product/contracting role
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Product Manager, is essential
- Excellent product knowledge of Australia and New Zealand.
- Experience working with the luxury travel market
- Proven Track Record in negotiation and contracting of travel product
- Proven Leadership &
team management skills - Financial management skills and ability to understand and make profitable decisions
- Committed to the highest level of customer service.
- Experience using an inhouse Reservations System (Travel Studio experience would be considered an advantage, inhouse training will be provided)
- Up to six weeks travel (interstate and overseas) per year may be required (including familiarisation trips)
