Job Description


The Head of Procurement will be responsible for the execution of the following:


  • Procurement Strategy Development and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.
    • Identify and drive opportunities for cost savings, quality improvements, and innovation.

  • Supplier Management:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
    • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and manage contract negotiations to ensure favourable terms.

  • Category Management:
    • Oversee procurement activities across various categories, ensuring effective sourcing and procurement processes.
    • Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and supplier capabilities.

  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities and supplier relationships.

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic support.
    • Ensure alignment of procurement strategies with overall business objectives.


The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will lead procurement initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and implement best practices to support our business objectives. This position will have one direct report and requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in procurement within the professional services industry.


  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong interpersonal abilities.
    • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
    • High level of business acumen and strategic thinking.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of procurement best practices and industry trends.
    • Strong knowledge of supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
    • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
