Head of Primary:

With the promotion of Luke Friend, Assistant Principal to the newly created position of Head of Campus at Mt Ridley, the School is now seeking an experienced, qualified and exceptional educational leader to care for and lead the Primary school at Mt Ridley. The Head of Primary (Mt Ridley) ensures the effective and efficient operation of the programs within their section and provides leadership on operational day-to-day matters. They oversee the three critical functions of the Section:
operations, the teaching and learning program, and student and staff wellbeing. They play an active role in the development and implementation of the current and future strategies and objectives.

The Head of Primary (Mt Ridley) reports to the Head of Campus (Mt Ridley) and is a member of the Campus Leadership Team. The position has a leadership tenure of 5 years (2025 to2029) with an allocated time allowance and remuneration and the teaching role is ongoing. This leadership role will commence in term 1, 2025 (Monday, 20 January 2025) and will conclude at the end of 2029 academic year.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in driving superior performance, creating and maintaining a caring and positive culture, leading a learning community, and are expert communicators. They will be an excellent classroom practitioner, have a demonstrated record of successful leadership in schools and a strong service ethos. They will also have a collaborative approach, including the ability to build productive working relationships of trust with people at all levels and with external stakeholders, and a commitment to our community and values.

The Head of Section supports and promotes the School's child safety culture. Under the direction of the Deputy Principal, they develop and enact approaches to embed a culture of child safety, monitor performance of individuals in their charge for achieving the School's strategies, inform the School community about the strategies, and allocate roles and responsibilities within their area;
and periodically reviewthe effectiveness of the strategies and revise as required.
