  • Start Mid-June for 10-12 months temporary contract
  • Full-time or Part-time 3+ days

About The Role

This is a really broad role, in a fast growing tech start-up environment where you'll be overseeing and supporting the People &
Culture team of three to provide full employee lifecycle support to 150-200 staff. You'll work closely with the MD and Senior Executive team to ensure that we're building a company with strong leadership and a happy, high performing, and engaged team. With the pace of change at SKUTOPIA, this will be not be a 'cover &
copy' type of maternitycover but will provide an opportunity to be dynamic and impactful whilst in a temporary role - you will be responsible for driving our strategy forward, introducing new initiatives and re-prioritising based upon company needs.

In this role you will:

  • End-to-end recruitment support for senior or niche positions across the business.
  • Monthly payroll, quarterly superannuation and sponsorship visa processing.
  • Improving HR &
recruitment data collection and monthly reporting dashboards.
  • Implementing policies, procedures, and systems - finding ways to automate and improve efficiency as the business grows.
  • Promoting learning and development, and internal mobility by working with managers to ensure that their teams have opportunities to grow and progress.
  • Managing ER and performance-related issues, ensuring that any issues are handled appropriately and risk is minimised.
  • Championing our culture and engagement, including engagement surveys, finding ways to celebrate success, and running initiatives based on feedback.
  • Implementing and running a remuneration review process, including salary banding and benchmarking roles.
  • Providing advice and coaching support to the MD and Senior Leadership Team. Mentoring and developing the People &
    Culture team.

We think you will need:

  • You have at least a few years of experience in a broad Head of People and Culture role, ideally in a fast paced and rapidly scaling start-up environment, with exposure to complex ER matters and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Ideally, formal HR qualifications and up to date employment law knowledge of the local Australian market.
  • You're happy to be in a role with a huge amount of variety and know how to manage your time and prioritise your work.
  • You know how to use data and understand the measures and metrics that we should be tracking to help make better decisions.
  • You've got a commercial and collaborative approach and can work with the CEO to find the right balance between minimising risk and keeping the culture fun and agile and giving employees autonomy.
  • You'll be comfortable taking the lead and owning things to proactively get them done.

When you join us, you'll be an important pillar of a rapidly growing startup. From day one you will be challenged to take risks, think big and make an impact while getting lots of love and support from the team. With our expected growth over the next 12 months, this is a role with plenty of breadth and variety where you can grow with us and be proud of what we achieve together.

We are an equal opportunity employer and proudly welcome people from all diverse backgrounds. When you join SKUTOPIA, we want you to bring your whole self to work and we value your unique contribution.
