Head of Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and our dedicated team to support our organisational growth.


Reporting to the Head of Business Development &
Partnerships, this roleis responsible for leading whole of organisation marketing strategies and driving targeted marketing campaigns that drive visitation and revenue opportunities across National Trust and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary which includes, outlets, events, and retail channels as well as engagement with Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and our Philanthropic causes.


About the Role

As our experienced and highly skilled, Head of Marketing you will lead the strategy and implementation of our marketing plans and manage a team of marketing professionals to deliver campaigns and communications plans across traditional and digital channels for our diverse portfolio of brands and strategic priorities.

In this varied role, you will manage significant media relationships and develop PR campaigns and activations supported by you cultivating strong internal and external stakeholder relationships for the shared goals of delivering on the organisation's financial goals and our charitable mission.


As a marketing professional across diverse brands, you will manage third party partner brand relationships of licensed products and experiences and work with the design and content team to ensure high quality branded visitor experiences at our sites and management of our logos and brand identity by property and precinct.


As our Head of Marketing, you will be able to influence senior leaders in the business through development and communication of purposeful reporting focused on accurate data collection and analysis to optimise performance of marketing and communications strategies and activities and develop and evaluate current and future projects.


As a confident leader in our diverse and value-driven organisation, you will also leverage your experience to actively manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity as well as playing an integral role in our senior management team to lead and inspire.

As a creative thinker, you will also be involved int the development of new precincts and experiences and play a critical role in our future success.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated success in developing branded experiences, preferably in a tourism, hospitality, or cultural organisation and have proven experience leading a team of marketing professionals and collaborating with sales, events, fundraising and operational teams.

Other key skills we are looking for include;

  • Strategic marketing experience with prove ability to develop and deliver comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals across diverse portfolio of products and priorities.
  • Ability to develop a broad range of effective and innovative commercial activities and partnerships in a customer focused environment and develop marketing initiatives that resonate with the target audience.
  • Results oriented, well organised with an ability to prioritise including that of direct reports and external agencies and freelancers to deliver outcomes and accountability.
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing new products from conception to sale and experience with marketing automation and CRM tools &
    good knowledge of website platforms and web performance.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and able to convey creative concepts to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Tourism knowledge and/or experience is an advantage.
  • Marketing, Commerce or Business Qualification will be highly regarded.
  • Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that has native wildlife such as birds and reptiles.
