General Description:

The Head of Market Access is responsible for the pricing and market access function in Australia and New Zealand (AU &
NZ). The individual supports and contributes to the overall success of product launches in Australia &
New Zealand by enablinga fast and broad access to BeiGene innovative medicines for patients in Australia &
New Zealand. The individual will partner with the cross-functional team to deliver launch activities by contributing market access insights, developing evidence-based HTA, Pricing &
Reimbursement dossiers and tools, engaging with market access and public affairs stakeholders as well as driving pricing strategy activities, and leading negotiation activities to deliver access results in Australia and New Zealand, supporting and contributing to the overall success of our product launches.
As a member of the ANZ leadership team, the Head of Market Access will work collaboratively with peers and the Head of Commercial, ANZ to develop a high performing team and foster a culture of excellence, trust, passion, and the highest business ethics. As a local functional lead, the Head of Market Access will collaborate closely with regional/global HEOR and regional/global pricing and market access teams to leverage global expertise and experiences and anticipate any impact on BeiGene pricing strategy globally.
Responsibilities:

Be the subject matter expert for the health care system, pricing, reimbursement and access related regulations and policies in AU &
NZ:

  • Act as local expert in regulations and policies regarding local pricing, reimbursement and patients access in AU &
    NZ;
  • Develop exquisite expertise regarding public health regulations and policies in oncology in AU &
    NZ;
  • Keep constant dialogue with local key stakeholders in AU &
    NZ to gain insights, anticipate evolution of pricing, regulations and/or policies;
    recommend and/or adjuststrategy accordingly.

With input from the relevant franchise teams, lead the development of value propositions, pricing and market access strategies for BeiGene products in AU &
NZ

  • Act as asubject matter expert of pricing and market access strategy for BeiGene products in AU &
    NZ;
  • Perform regular review of pricing and access status in the considered disease(s);
  • Perform detailed competitive landscape analysis of pricing and reimbursement and derive key learnings;
  • Inform the 5 years horizon scan of new competitors entering the considered space;
  • Develop pricing and market access strategic plans throughout the life cycle management of BeiGene products and portfolio considering lead indication, new indications sequences and possible repercussion on pricing and access at local and global level;
  • Set up and contribute to KOLs ad-boards as required to gain insights and competitive intelligence, and develop evidence to support clinical and economic claims
  • In close collaboration with global HEOR and global pricing and market access teams, develop the most compelling local value proposition for BeiGene products;
  • Perform pricing market research as necessary for BeiGene products to evaluate pricing scenarios in AU &
    NZ and determine optimal pricing strategy;
  • Based on pricing research insights and competitive analysis, develop pricing and access recommendations for management decision making.

Lead the end-to-end pricing and reimbursement process for BeiGene products

  • In collaboration with the region and global market access team, contribute to early access planning for pipeline products and indications.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, expertise and operational oversight for the entire pricing and reimbursement process.
  • Act as end-to-end project leader for pricing and reimbursement dossier initiation, preparation, constitution, submission, negotiation with relevant reimbursement bodies until successful listing completion.
  • Provide recommendations to the relevant Global Product Teams and sub-teams to ensure payer relevant evidence is generated through clinical trials,
  • Provide recommendations to the regional/global HEOR teams to ensure Health Economics modelling, Real World Evidence studies, systematic literature research and meta-analysis will enhance the program's value proposition.
  • Set up a multi-disciplinary project team and related work plan to perform all necessary activities in an efficient and timely manner from kick-off till successful listing in AU &
    NZ.
  • In close collaboration with local and/or global regulatory affairs, pricing and market access, HEOR, medical affairs, commercial, finance, regional/global market access lead the development of the product dossier story flow, structure, detailed content as necessary leveraging local and global expertise.
  • Lead the pricing and reimbursement negotiation process with the relevant reimbursement bodies in AU &
    NZ;
    engage with all key relevant key stakeholders as needed in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Provide insights and deep understanding of progress, pitfalls, potential challenges of product pricing and reimbursement submission to BeiGene management during the negotiation phase. Recommend adjustment and options as necessary to overcome obstacles and eventually obtain successful listing of BeiGene products;
  • More generally, drive the pricing and reimbursement dossier submission and negotiation end-to-end process efficiently:
    ensure all local pricing and reimbursement deadlines are systematically met, ensure all relevant internal BeiGene stakeholders are involved efficiently as needed, ensure all external local key stakeholders are involved or reached out as necessary.
  • Once products are listed on the PBS, support the cross-functional team with the management of rebate payments to the Australian government, as required.
  • Lead cap and deed re-negotiations, as required.

Engage with key local stakeholders in Australia &
New Zealand and lead advocacy plan development

  • Foster an open and constructive dialogue with key stakeholders from relevant Australian &
    New Zealand health authorities;
  • Under the leadfrom Medical Affairs, foster an open and ethical dialogue with patient advocacy groups;
    support advocacy plans as appropriate in full respect of local regulations and practices;
  • Be an advocateof and with Medicines Australia to promote rapid and broad access to innovative medicines, a value-based pricing and reimbursement system as well as innovation friendly policies in AU &
    NZ.

Act asa member of the local leadership team of the BeiGene AUS affiliate

  • Under the supervision and guidance from the Head of Commercial, AU &
    NZ and in close collaboration with peers from other functions, support all BeiGene AUS &
    NZ activities;
  • Contribute positively to the management of BeiGene AU &
    NZ affiliate operations, organization development and business activities;
  • Display, high quality leadership skills, positive mindset, can-do attitude embodying BeiGene culture and core values. Act as a catalyst for developing high a performing team in the affiliates;
  • Develop high sense of purpose, sense of belonging, accountability and ownership among the BeiGene AUS &
    NZ team;
  • Work cross-functionally with the ANZ leadership team, franchise teams and regional/global market access and HEOR leadership.
  • Act as a role model with the highest standard of compliance, business ethics, quality, rigor, and performances, whilst fostering a culture of 'doing the right thing'

Actively collaborate within the global pricing and market access community of practice

  • Act as a local subject matter expert of pricing and market access matters in AU &
    NZ for the broader global pricing and market access community of practice and more generally for the BeiGene global organization;
  • Contribute positively to global pricing and market access projects, initiatives, methodologies, toolboxes, system, processes, governance;
  • Share best practices, key learnings from local pricing and reimbursement submission successes and challenges. Share competitive landscaping analysis and more generally reach out to peers and colleagues as necessary to leverage expertise, experiences, skills, capabilities;
  • In the case ofpossible repercussions from the price in Australia and New Zealand to other geographies or globally, due to international reference pricing (IRP), ensure the relevant information is brought to the Global Pricing Committee (GPC) for consideration and decision.
  • More generally, actively contribute to the development of a best-in-class pricing and market access function at BeiGene.
