Teachers at Corio choose to join a largely residential community and are thus involved in supporting students in a host of different ways.

This provides for an opportunity to develop a very full relationship with students and thus a chance to play a significant role in their overall education - academic, physical, spiritual and moral - and in doing so give them the opportunity to recognise and develop their talents.

The Head of House is responsible for the welfare and progress of all students in their care and the management and direction of staff working within the House.


Reporting to the Head of Middle School, the main purpose of this role will be to cultivate an inclusive and supportive environment that leverages the School's unique context and reflects our Strategic Framework to enable wisdom and leadership in our students.


All teaching staff at Geelong Grammar School have a significant role in enhancing the resiliency and wellbeing of students through the delivery of Positive Education, based on the principles of Positive Psychology.


In accordance with the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic) (or similar legislation), Geelong Grammar School require all staff to provide evidence to the School that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or are otherwise medically exempt.
