At Bishop Druitt College (BDC), we believe in the saying 'it takes a village to raise a child.' Our college is built around our community and the relationships we foster each day. About you
As a part of Bishop Druitt College, you will be a dedicated educator with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices. You will have the ability to communicate with students, parents and staff at all levels, with a diverse range of backgrounds and a wide range of age groups. However, you will know that sometimes the best thing to do is just listen with an open heart.
You will be both experienced and qualified as a teacher in a secondary environment at NSW Higher School Certificate level (or equivalent), you will have demonstrated ability in contemporary teaching pedagogies and have had previous success in engaging with and leading a KLA in a K-12 philosophy. You will be actively involved in and lead collaborative learning and teaching practices for our students whilst supporting agile learning spaces.
BDC require all teaching staff to be First Aid /CPR, Child Safety, WH&
S and culturally trained, or a willingness to train in this area.
About the role
We're seeking an inspiring professional to lead our dedicated and innovative English faculty for a two (2) year fixed term contract. You will have the ability to demonstrate Stage 6 experience including innovative pedagogy for English classes in other stages or year groups to service our K-12 college.
