In this high-level design role, the Head of Design will be incharge of the full creative design for the seasonal apparel range, taking ownership of all design categories allocated answering only to the CEO, executing from concept to final product, and carrying out this design vision in line with the brand DNA, category growth targets, seasonal option plans, and all associated timelines.

In doing so, they will conduct ongoing research into global trends and consumer habits and contribute to the seasonal creative direction and colour palette, translating global trends in-line with brand philosophy and vision.

They will champion a constantly evolving vision with attention to unique details, proportions, and colour stories that connect with the fashion and design universe to maintain a distinct offering in the market.

The Head of Design will also be responsible for collaborating with the sales channels ensuring complete awareness of sales results, and understanding consumer engagement with products, fits, fabrics, and colours.

They will own the design of the seasonal apparel ranges (fabrication, fit, and silhouette) and will manage the overall sourcing, selection, and development of fabrics, embroidery, trims, sample requests, and prints of fabric in conjunction with the Production Team.

The Head of Design will be accountable for time management prioritizing workflow to meet deadlines across all areas of the design process, and will manage the design department calendar and design critical path.

They will oversee the buying of all fabric, and negotiate on price, minimums, and lead times for production.

They will work in conjunction with the CEO &
factory contacts to create the first prototypes and manage the overall sampling stages, from prototype, SMS, and TOP samples.

Their remit will also include collaboration with the Product Development team during fit sessions;
will act as the final point of resolution to resolve any design or technical specification issues;
and will liaise with the production team and external suppliers to ensure sample ranges are delivered on time.

The Head of Design will understand the business costing structure, and will ensure designs are being executed within target margins.

Adjacent to this, they will assist with training and mentoring junior designers and design assistants.
