An exciting opportunity invites applications from experienced educators to join the leadership team as a Head of Department (Senior Schooling) at Nambour State College on a permanent full-time basis.
Nambour State College is a Prep - Year 12 Independent Public School situated in the picturesque township of Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. Being a Prep - Year 12 College we offer the unique opportunity of a seamless transition from primary to secondary which allows our students to experience both supportive academic and social outcomes.

About Nambour State College

Nambour State College was founded in 2016, resulting from the amalgamation of Nambour State High School and Nambour State School.

Two of the oldest schools on the Sunshine Coast had co-existed for decades and decided to join forces to help provide the best possible education for our students. Students enjoy extensive facilities and resources in this large campus in the heart of Nambour.

Whatever age your child joins the college, they will benefit from common teaching and support programs that run from Prep through to Year 12. Literacy and numeracy development will run seamlessly for the 13 years of schooling and students can easily accelerate their learning.

About the Role

As the Head of Department, you will:

  • lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives.
  • participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division.
  • develop the quality of teaching and learning.
  • nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

The Head of Department is accountable to and under the direction of the Principal or delegate.
