Rosella Park School (P-12 State Special School) are seeking applications for a Head of Department (Curriculum) to join their supportive school community on a full-time temporary basis, from 08 July 2024 until 13 December 2024unless otherwise determined. This person will have a strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge along with well-developed strategic thinking and analytical skills to contribute to our school improvement agenda and to developproductive positive relationships between students, staff and the wider school community.

About the Role:

As the Head of Department (Curriculum) you will:

  • Lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives
  • Participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division
  • Develop the quality of teaching and learning
  • Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the implementation of curriculum provisions and related whole school programs to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Lead the implementation of whole school approach to pedagogy.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
