ABOUT THE ROLE

  • The Head of Cybersecurity is the senior IT leadership role responsible for management of the Information Security function of Mercy Health including security strategy and operations. Leading the Cybersecurity Team, the Head of Cybersecurity works collaboratively across all levels of the organisation to further develop and implement &
    operate security frameworks and technologies to protect Mercy Health's information systems and assets.
  • The Head of Cybersecurity will carry out tasks to ensure that Information Security aligns with business risks and security policy and that appropriate security controls are in place. The role is responsible for the continual monitoring, reporting and improvement of Information Security processes and standards. In addition, the role is responsible for enterprise security architecture, documents design attributes and target components along with ensuring security standards are incorporated into project and technology solutions during plan and design phase.
  • The incumbent will also represent Mercy Health Cybersecurity interest through involvement in government and industry user groups and forums.
  • This is a fulltime (76 hrs a fortnight), permanent position based from our Richmond Office with hybrid working arrangements (3 days onsite;
    2 days WFH) available.


ABOUT YOU:

  • We are seeking a proven leader with demonstrable success within a complex, diverse and evolving environment that can evidence their values based leadership and offer an authentic, engaging and agile character.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO, PCI and similar certifications.
  • Experienced Head of Cybersecurity (or equivalent) within a national organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to assess and quantify risk in order to develop appropriate frameworks and solutions.
  • Demonstrated high level project and change management skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance and advice to drive change/adoption across complex national organisation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT or management or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience of the implementation and management of the essential 8 maturity model.
  • Health industry experience (highly desirable)
