As the Head of Corporate and Public Affairs in Australia &
New Zealand you will have direct responsibility of the Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Corporate Policy and ESG Governance agenda in ANZ. As well as leading a priority business portfolio themselves, you will also lead a team of senior practitioners and so a strong coaching leadership style coupled with strong stakeholder relationship management internally and externally will be critical. .

Main responsibilities:

  • Leadership of Sanofi ANZ's corporate affairs (CA) / public affairs (PA) agenda and is responsible for actively managing the company's reputation.

  • Overarching CA strategy aligned to ANZ business strategy and delivery of government, policy, media, social, and communication for the ANZ Sanofi business.

  • Defines, develops and oversees a strategic Public Affairs Plan for specific remit and individual work programmes to directly support the company goals as set out in the Global Corporate Affairs Plan and the Country Strategy.

  • Protect and enhance the value of Sanofi ANZ corporate brand to a broad range of stakeholders, with a focus on government, whilst embedding agreed reputation management principles and practices.

  • Work cohesively with the local stakeholders, regional and International Corporate Affairs team.

  • Lead and oversee all government, industry, patient group / HCO and community relationships. Ensure all Sanofi policies and procedures are followed while managing those relationships.

About you

  • Extensive experience, in senior Corporate Affairs roles in large organisations.

  • Depth of experience in Public Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary Corporate Affairs teams working across or closely with communications, policy and external stakeholder management including government and peak bodies.

  • People management experience with demonstrated capability in leading through complexity

  • Experience providing senior counsel to senior leaders on complex matters of potential public interest.

  • Strategic in the prioritization of company assets and relationships

  • Experience in Australian Corporate Affairs context

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Politics or similar.
