Salary range starting from $200,000 including super.

About You:

With a wealth of experience in large-scale project planning and delivery, you are a highly adept strategic leader known for developing and implementing best business solutions for major capital investments and projects. Your strong problem-solving skills and strategic planning mindset, combined with your ability to analyse and address technical and complex operational issues, are crucial to your success in this role. You hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering and a Diploma of Project Management or equivalent experience. Boasting 10+ years of experience in leading strategic and operational challenges in asset-intensive operations, you have considerable expertise in asset management and extensive experience in large-scale project planning and delivery including managing large-scale asset outages. Furthermore, you possess excellent leadership skills, particularly in guiding and inspiring interdisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, and driving successful outcomes.

About the role:

As the Head of Capital Planning, you are responsible for developing both large- and small-scale projects from strategic plans through to detailed planning, ensuring innovative solutions, consistent governance, and continuous improvement. This role involves strategic decision-making to maximise return on investment for Hydro whist maintaining our positive community impact. Responsibilities include detailed business case development, strategic outage planning, providing key input into annual capital budget processes and resource planning. The Head of Capital Planning promotes collaboration across business units, resource sharing, aligns projects to the Asset Management system and identifies new opportunities. Additionally, this role involves communicating corporate strategy, developing a capable and engaged team, ensuring health and safety, and contributing to strategic workforce planning while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
