As the Head of Agile Delivery Optimisation, you will be the driving force behind Qantas Loyalty's pursuit of continuous improvement and operational excellence. You'll act as the Agile Methodology subject matter expert, championing and scaling Agile practices across the entire Loyalty business. Your primary focus will be on optimising the intricate web of interconnected systems and processes within Qantas Loyalty. This role demands strategic thought leadership, creative problem-solving, and a proven track record of enterprise-level agile optimisation.

The role manages a team of 5 portfolio delivery managers and 20 delivery mangers who define project scopes and manage timelines effectively across the ecosystem. Risk management and team leadership skills are integral, with a focus on mentoring, guiding the team, and contributing to the broader Leadership team. As a strategic leader, the Head of Agile Delivery Optimisation plays a critical role in achieving Qantas Loyalty's customer, commercial and people targets.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 8 -10years of experience in optimising enterprise agility, working with multiple systems across multiple organisations
  • Strong commitment to business improvement and ability to drive change and make things happen
  • Experience in creating and optimising scalable, efficient delivery methodologies and frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and experienced OKR and KPI practitioner.
  • Influencing skills to drive outcomes across a diverse set of decision makers
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to build constructive and effective working relationships with senior management.
  • Extensive project delivery experience to effectively lead a team of delivery managers
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong team spirit.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into comprehensive project delivery strategies
  • Ability to manage cross functional projects which involve diverse areas across Loyalty.
  • Ability to allocate resources to ensure the optimisation of resources and Risk management
  • Strategic vision to translate organisational goals into a delivery strategy, aligning project initiatives with business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts.
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise conflicting tasks
