This role works closely with the CIO and Amplifi to deliver investment innovation, value and ROI.
The GID works very closely with each Client Partner and their respective team/s in a leadership role within the agency and ensure that best practice buying behaviour is applied within their territory whilst infusing a general passion for trading.
The GID will also assume a lead investment responsibility for new business within the brand, working with the leadership team on relevant trading components of a pitch.
A key tenet of a GID's role is to also ensure that clients informed about their investment activity and the wider marketplace.

We now have an opportunity for our next Group Investment Director to join the team in Carat Melbourne. We are seeking someone with a comprehensive understanding of the Australian media marketplace, committed to staying abreast of TV network programming, performance and innovation opportunities, whilst playing an active leadership role within the wider virtual investment community.

The opportunity:

As the Group Investment Director, you will work very closely with each Client Partner and their respective team/s in a leadership role within the agency and ensure that best practice buying behaviour is applied within their territory whilst infusing a general passion for trading.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain trading credibility with senior clients and be seen as the senior point of contact for on-going trading queries in your territory
  • Develop best practice buying guidelines and behaviours in conjunction with CIO &
    Amplifi and ensure these are being implemented across the agency
  • Ensure that a system of monitoring is in place for all relevant client media deal arrangements, and guide team on any under deliveries
  • Contribute to the overall company/holding company direction and growth
  • Understand the impact Investment has on the agency's commercial performance and work with senior management as required to maximise ROI
  • Have senior relationships with client nominated auditors to ensure a collaborative working relationship with these companies

A bit about you:

  • A passion for Investment;
    in particular client negotiations
  • Strong communication and numeracy skills
  • Ability to manage an integrated/virtual Investment team
  • Outstanding ability to negotiate relevant client activity
  • Experience working with TV auditors
  • Experience with BMD/Spectra AQX, Roy Morgan, TV Map, MOVE &
    SMI
