Position Overview

The Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the highest executive position within PeopleKind Group, accountable to the Board of Directors. This pivotal role involves shaping and executing the comprehensive strategy for growth, profitability, and sustainability across all subsidiaries. The CEO will work collaboratively with the Board, stakeholders, and the executive team to achieve the organisation's objectives while ensuring alignment with our Vision, Purpose, and Values.

Key Responsibilities

The CEO will build upon and communicate a clear vision and strategy for growth and success, collaborating with the Board to ensure both short and long-term goals are met. They will oversee all aspects of operational performance across the group, including financial planning, to ensure the group meets its financial and performance targets. The CEO will lead the executive team to promote operational excellence and continuous improvement, optimising processes to enhance efficiency. They will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as the primary spokesperson for the Group. Additionally, the CEO will recruit, develop, and retain a committed workforce, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and respect whilst promoting diversity and inclusion within the PeopleKind Group. They will identify and mitigate strategic and operational risks, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards, while upholding the highest standards of governance and ethical conduct.
Key Outcomes

The CEO will deliver strategic and operational outcomes, ensuring alignment with Key Strategic Performance Indicators, across the Group. They will position PeopleKind Group as the leading provider of high-quality social services, achieve financial targets, and maintain financial sustainability. The CEO will ensure high-quality service provision to clients and stakeholders, manage effective change processes to meet organisational objectives, and maintain strong partnerships while identifying new opportunities for community engagement.

Essential Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in high-level strategic and operational leadership, ideally within a multifaceted service delivery environment in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Prior experience leading organisation change initiatives to drive innovation and improvement.
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, community groups, and other non-government organisations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage financial resources effectively.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and an understanding of social issues.
  • High-level understanding of corporate governance processes and experience working with a Board of Directors, providing timely and quality advice and support.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS framework and relevant legislation and experience in managing government service contracts is also necessary.
  • A commitment to and understanding of cultural diversity, ensuring inclusive service delivery.
  • Tertiary qualifications in community services, business management, financial management, or related disciplines is essential.
