Your new role
As the Governance Coordinator you will be part of the Business Process and Governance team within the IT Services Division. You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the team in establishing, monitoring and reporting on compliance with policies, standards and processes for managing IT procurement, change, information security and risk, operational activities, projects and contracts.Coordinating, monitoring and reporting on compliance with the departments IT governance standards in relation to operational activities.
Administering and monitoring IT-related contracts including those for the engagement of temporary staff, consulting services, network infrastructure maintenance, business systems enhancements, and the supply of data communications. Software licensing contracts are the primary responsibility of the Asset and Administration Support Officer.
Monitoring expenditure across project and non-project activities within IT Services.
Identifying opportunities for procedural, service and system improvements in relation to the departments IT governance standards, making recommendations to the Manager, IT Services.
Providing backup support for other members of the Business Process and Governance team.
What you'll need to succeedDemonstrated knowledge of concepts, issues and best practice in relation to IT and/or governance including procurement, change management, risk management and information security.
Demonstrated effective organisational and administrative ability, including working as part of a team in a fast changing environment, and working productively to deadlines.
Well-developed oral and interpersonal communication skills including negotiation, consultation and networking skills, so as to liaise with a wide range of people and build effective networks.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
SAP for asset management and procurement (an advantage but not essential).
Experience with TRIM document management
Previous experience/knowledge with NSW government governance and procurement standards
Some contract and budget administration experience ideal (not essential)
Dealing with IT vendors an added bonus
What you'll get in return
This is a 3 month contract, office based in the CBD, open to WFH or part time arrangements. Grade 5/6 offering an hourly rate between $40-50 per hour + Super.
