About The Role

As the global Head of Group Asset Management, you will play a key role in leading and shaping the Group Asset Management function. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Providing visionary leadership to align the regional asset teams with Thiess' Values and Principles.
  • Developing and nurturing Asset Management capabilities to drive growth and sustainability.
  • Achieve the lowest total cost of ownership for assets, ensuring the right assets are performing at the right time, in the right projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and processes for effective asset management.
  • Ensure compliance with company Levels of Authority for operational and capital expenditure.
  • Oversee the development and governance of global asset policies, standards, and practices.
  • Creating an industry-leading working environment focused on safety, efficiency, performance, cost, and delivery.
  • Ensuring effective communication of notifications across the business for Assets employees.
  • Fostering innovation and collaborating closely with Regional Teams.

About You

  • In this role, your contributions will be pivotal. Your educational background should encompass a Tertiary Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications / experiencePost Graduate qualification highly regarded. Your extensive professional journey should span over a decade leading Asset Management, specifically within the mining sector.
  • Your grasp of commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial approach will be indispensable, as you deftly navigate industry intricacies to drive informed decision-making and optimise resource allocation.
  • Encouraging a cost-conscious environment and prudent risk management will be second nature to you.
  • Your skills extend beyond technical competencies, encompassing a remarkable grasp of commercial intricacies, a strong growth mindset and an ability to deal with ambiguity.
