About the role

The Geriatric &
Rehabilitation MedicineConsultant is responsible for delivering high quality clinical practice within a rapidly expanding department, presenting an exciting opportunity to provide geriatric medicine across the continuum of care. This includes acute, sub-acute care, consultative (hospital and community), rehabilitative and ambulatory (both metropolitan and rural) services. The Consultant will also contribute to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and quality assurance activities of the department.

Qualifications

Eligible for registration as a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Board of South Australia. Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with advanced training in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Aged Care Screening check
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease:
    Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
